AboutSelf-guided Visits for Groups Terms

IMMA connects audiences and art, providing an extraordinary space where contemporary life and contemporary art connect, challenge and inspire one another. We share, develop and conserve the Irish National Collection of Modern and Contemporary Art for now and for the future.

Self-guided Visits for Groups Terms

  1. Please inform us at least a week in advance of your intended visit for a self guided group. to do this you can contact the museum by phone to +353-1-612 9900 or e-mail [email protected]
  2. All children and school groups must be accompanied by an adult throughout the visit.
  3. The adult to children/school group (aged 18 and under) supervision ratio is: 1:16. So if you have under 1-15 children in your group one adult must be present, for 16-32 children a minimum of two adults must be present to gain entry to the galleries.
  4. Please note that, in the vast majority of cases, artworks must not be touched, due to the delicate nature of their materials. In some cases artworks are intended to be interacted with, if this is the case there will be signage to notify you. If in doubt please ask a member of the Visitor Engagement Team in the galleries, easily identifiable by the blue lanyards around their neck.
  5. School bags or backpacks must be stored in the lockers provided at Main Reception, or left in an area designated by the Visitor Engagement Team.
  6. Food and liquids are not permitted in the galleries at any time.
