Learn & EngageYoung People

Whether you are a formal learner, or just curious to find out more, we can help you to engage with creativity, conceptual thinking and cultural meaning at IMMA.

Young People

IMMA offers creative experiences for young people which consist of looking, discussing, and making, as well as engaging with IMMA’s exhibitions and collection, and working with contemporary artists. Seasonal workshops for 13 to 18 year olds take place during school holidays throughout the year, offering the opportunity to gain knowledge and practical experience of contemporary art in IMMA’s galleries and studios. From time-to-time young people can engage as participants in artist-led projects and events linked to performances and exhibitions at IMMA.

Teens at Home: Art Projects

During school holidays IMMA offers studio-based art workshops for young people aged 13 to 18. While IMMA is closed, artists who have previously led workshops are posting creative exercises and art activities for teens here. As new projects become available, we will share them as posts via our social media channels. Stay in touch with IMMA on our platforms or join our mailing lists for teens.

We hope you find some inspiration and exciting starting points for creative projects at home.
