We welcome groups of all kinds to IMMA, from schools and community groups to informal groups of friends and colleagues. We know that when you visit with groups of people there are extra things you might want to know about to better plan your visit, so you can find out more in this section.
If you are visiting IMMA with a group of more than 8 people we ask you to let us know in advance, or to book one of our free guided tours which are also available outside of standard museum opening hours.
Guided tours are available for special interest groups including schools, colleges and adult education organisations. Every tour is different and tours are free of charge. These tours generally happen before the museum opens to the public so they are a great way to experience the exhibition at a quiet time.
IMMA also offers a range of specialised tours including Irish language, Audio Description and Touch tours. We welcome all groups and can tailor tours to your needs.
Please see our Guided Tours Section for more information on dates, times, group sizes and how to book. Please note that group tours must be booked at least two weeks in advance.
If you choose not to avail of a free tour with one of our Visitor Engagement Team you may still visit the museum with your group, but you will need to book your group visit in with us.
Please see our Self-Guided Tours Section for more information how to book. Please note that a self-guided group tour must be booked at least one week in advance.
