AboutEthical Sponsorship Policy

IMMA connects audiences and art, providing an extraordinary space where contemporary life and contemporary art connect, challenge and inspire one another. We share, develop and conserve the Irish National Collection of Modern and Contemporary Art for now and for the future.

Ethical Sponsorship Policy

IMMA’s Ethical Sponsorship Policy: A Shared Commitment to Integrity and Impact

At IMMA, we believe that meaningful partnerships are built on shared values, mutual respect, and a deep commitment to the public good. As Ireland’s leading institution for modern and contemporary art, we are proud to collaborate with individuals and organisations who support our mission to inspire, challenge, and connect through art.

We are always striving to have a bigger impact as a Catalyst for Change, a Global Connector, a Centre for Research and Innovation, and a Radically Public Space. Each year we need to generate c.15% of our annual turnover through our commercial activities, sponsorship, and philanthropy to deliver our programme and maximise its impact.

Our Ethical Sponsorship Policy sets out the principles that guide how we engage with sponsors and funders. It ensures that all partnerships align with IMMA’s values of transparency, inclusivity, sustainability, and artistic freedom.

We recognise that we are operating in a dynamic environment. We maintain an open dialogue with our sponsors and funders to ensure that we remain aligned on our values and principles. Our policy and procedures are reviewed annually by the IMMA Board and we are committed that IMMA remains a space of integrity, imagination, and shared cultural stewardship.
