IMMA is delighted to share news of a new series of Curator’s Talks on our current exhibition programme will be taking place during the summer months, on Sundays at 2pm / Thursdays at 6pm, and are programmed in association with the IMMA Outdoors programme that features several site activities, that includes free Music in Courtyard at 3 – 4.30pm, see what’s on here.

Join IMMA’s in-house curators for an insightful walkthrough of our latest upcoming exhibitions in the galleries. You can can hear more about the key themes and artworks featured, as well learning more about the inside knowledge and experience of curating exhibitions at IMMA. All welcome, see schedule below.

Sunday 11 June: 2 – 3pm
Unseeing Traces
Join us on the final exhibition day for an exploration of Unseeing Traces in the Project Spaces with Engagement + Learning curator Mark Maguire.

Sun 25 June: 2 – 3pm
Influence and Identity, Twentieth Century Portrait Photography from the Bank of America Collection
This walkthrough talk will be presented by Georgie Thompson, Assistant Curator, Exhibitions, IMMA.

Sun 9 July: 2 – 3pm
IMMA Horizons Curator’s Talk
Look closely, at a relaxed pace, discussing and responding to selected works during this slow looking tour. IMMA Horizons offers opportunities to connect through creativity and curiosity, supporting wellbeing with engaged arts experiences. Presented by Bairbre-Ann Harkin, Curator, IMMA Horizon.

Coming Home Late: Jo Baer In the Land of the Giants & Anne Madden: Seven Paintings
New exhibitions walkthroughs with Christina Kennedy, Senior Curator, Collections, IMMA.

Friday 13 Oct: 1.15 – 2pm
Howardena Pindell, A Renewed Language
IMMA Director Annie Fletcher discusses Pindell’s first solo exhibition in Ireland.
