Overview

Betsabeé Romero studied at the Ecole des Beaux Arts in Paris and the National Autonomous University of Mexico. She lives and works in Mexico City. Romero has received many international awards, including First Prize at the Cairo Biennial in 2006, and her work has been exhibited worldwide at institutions such as the Museo Nacional de Arte Reina Sofia in Madrid and the Museo del Barrio in New York. Her work is represented in the Daros Collection, Switzerland, LACMA Los Angeles and the Museum of Modern Art of Houston among others.
