The current IMMA website was developed in 2018 by Detail. Design Studio in collaboration IMMA. It was funded by the Department of Culture, Heritage and Gaeltacht. The goal was to design and develop a highly engaging and dynamic new web platform for IMMA, and in so doing to create an inspiring and authoritative online home for all relevant content relating to IMMA, our programmes and the artists we work with.
The project followed a user-centric methodology and went through several rounds of testing and design iteration at every stage in the process, from concept and architecture to navigation and design. We are very grateful to the members of the IMMA community, both staff in the museum and dedicated testers from the public, who contributed their time to help us develop the site. This new site serves as a living platform to share IMMA’s Collection, programme, and artists, delivering on our mission to connect audiences and art, and to share the National Collection for now and for the future.
