Visitor Resources

When you visit IMMA there are lots of ways you can find out more about the artists we exhibit or the artworks on display.

Visitor Engagement Team

When you are here in the galleries the easiest and best way to find out more is to speak to any member of our Visitor Engagement Team, who are easily identifiable through their blue lanyards. Visitor engagement facilitators are not only knowledgeable about the particular exhibition you are visiting, but also about contemporary art in general, and are really happy to answer any questions you might have, big or small. There are no stupid questions!

For information regarding tours please contact Chris Jones: [email protected]

Before your visit we now ask you to please download and print or save on your device your own exhibition guide from our website to bring with you on your visit. Downloadable pdfs of exhibition guides are:

Another great resource for reading about our artists, exhibitions, collection and artworks is this website itself. You can read original articles by a whole range of contributors in our Magazine and will find information on individual artists in our Artists A-Z. We are continually building out this new resource.

Watch

We produce introductory videos for most of our exhibitions which you can watch online on the IMMA youtube channel or in-gallery when you visit. Look for the TV screens at the entrance to the Main Galleries on the First floor, or near reception as you exit to the Courtyard Galleries. You will also find videos on the individual exhibition pages of this website.

Official Hospitality Partner

If you’re looking for a hotel in Dublin, we highly recommend the Dean Dublin, IMMA’s Official Hospitality Partner. Since they opened their doors in 2014, the Dean has strived to create a fun and vibrant space for their guests, right in the heart of the city. The Dean Dublin showcases original artworks by Irish artists throughout the hotel and their collection, curated by James Earley, features many artists whose work is also represented in the IMMA Collection; these include Irish artists Mark Francis, Richard Gorman, Patrick Scott and Samuel Walsh.

Access to special IMMA events are available to Dean guests, so be sure to mention IMMA when you book/check in to avail of the latest opportunities.
