Winter at IMMA presents DREAMSPHERE, a stunning new immersive installation devised by IMMA artist-in-residence Aoife Dunne. Hypnotically staged in the IMMA Courtyard, DREAMSPHERE engulfs spectators in a site-specific, multi-sensorial mindscape, where playful allusions to consciousness-sharing collide with fevered envisioning of the imprisoned mind. Launching on Friday 17 December from 4pm this ambitious new work is the fourth in a series of major outdoor commissions presented to celebrate IMMA’s 30th Birthday in 2021.

Join us for a festive performance, The One Trick Pony Show!, by IMMA resident artist Isadora Epstein on Sunday 19 December in The People’s Pavilion. The One Trick Pony Show! is a starry, starry Yuletide Rodeo! Audiences are welcomed to saddle up to hear the tall tales of the Giant Cactus, about the Tiny Bandit and his trusty Mustang. While Dancing Buffalo will shuffle to the harmonica from Sheriff Moony. This 30-minute family friendly show features catchy new ballads and cowboy puppets.

Enjoy some creative family time with our Explorer family workshops running throughout December, make artworks together and have some fun creating amazing masterpieces based on artworks from the IMMA Collection.

Visit a major exhibition celebrating 30 years of IMMA, The Narrow Gate of the Here-and-Now. With over 200 artworks presented in four themed Chapters, this is  the first time that the IMMA Collection is shown across the entire Museum.
