Due to unforeseen circumstances we have unfortunately had to cancel our Parent and Baby tour on Thursday, 25 November. We hope you will be able to join us for our next tour on Thursday, 9 December.
To all new parents, we are inviting you to come to IMMA and join us for a new venture – Parent & Baby Hour at the Museum. Ciara Murray and Joan Walker, from IMMA’s Visitor Engagement Team, will bring you to the gallery to view and discuss an artwork. After we will go to The People’s Pavilion on the Front Lawn to chat and take some time for art making.
During our first session we will visit the current exhibition The Narrow Gate of the Here-and-Now, Chapter One: Queer Embodiment. We will explore an artwork by Irish artist Alice Maher called Berry Dress.
Our aim is to provide a relaxed casual space for parents to meet up and at the same time to nurture their imaginative and creative side with baby looking on. As much as we love to see the gorgeous beautiful babies, this is about ‘You’, the parent, your time for You!
This session is for parents with young babies who are not yet mobile.
Please book your place in advance, walk ups will be permitted if space allows.
