Are you a Transition Year (TY) student during the academic year 2026/2027? If you’ve an interest in art and culture, join us at TY x IMMA and discover all about working in an art museum.

TY x IMMA participants experience what’s going on in the galleries and around the grounds of the museum, as well as getting valuable insights into who is working behind the scenes. Participants discover the many work roles at IMMA, and how each one contributes to IMMA’s programmes, projects, and events.

Participants will receive guided tours of artworks in the current exhibitions, and explore their own creativity in the art studios. You will meet staff from many different departments at IMMA and have an opportunity to talk to professional artists too.

The TY x IMMA experience occurs in early November and in late February each academic year. If you are interested in the programme for this academic year, there is still some limited availibility for February 2027.
