The Lucian Freud Reading Group was a monthly reading group held in IMMA’s Freud Centre in the context of the IMMA Collection: Freud Project. As part of a collaboration between IMMA and Trinity College Dublin/TRIARC, the Reading Group unfolded in conjunction with a series of talks on Lucian Freud which took place between IMMA and Trinity College Dublin. Led by writer Dr Nathan O’Donnell, these monthly sessions focused on a selection of readings exploring and illuminating aspects of Freud’s life and work.
This reading group was hosted in the IMMA Freud Centre alongside the an exhibition of more than fifty of Freud’s art works and, informed by the museum’s research programme, it provided an informal, conversational way to shed new light on Freud’s life and wor
