Live Performance featuring
Chinedum Muotto

Chinedum Muotto - Untitled

Time: 13.30 – 13.50
Location: Studio 5
Booking not required.

Poet and performance artist Chinedum Mutto will offer a performative and sculptural reflection around death and mourning, drawing on his personal experiences, blurring our socio-reality regarding what stays private and how grief is brought to the public consciousness. In conjuring the historical, the present, and the unknown, Chinedum seeks to explore how care can be curated whilst prioritising human rights.

“This performance comes at a time when people in Ireland and the State grapple with their grief and memories of the vulnerable who died whilst in State care.”                       – Chinedum Muotto

Content warning: IMMA advises that this performance will address themes of a mature and sensitive nature.

Clodagh will be joined by Siniša Koncic for a reading of his poem Vukovar, Hrvatska, written for the The Plurality of Existence in the Infinite Expanse of Space and Time, a collaborative project that preceded and informed the development of Crocosmia ×.
