For gardening enthusiasts, the month of September means only one thing, it’s time to start planting flower bulbs!

We like to visualise their blooms as they emerge in Spring following the dark days of Winter.  Within the IMMA gardens and Meadow, we have our own splendid display.  You may even catch site of Donald Urquhart’s Recurring Line: North/South, 2007.  Come early Spring, this line appears in our Meadow, a symbol of hope and triumph as the delicate snowdrops once again push through the cold winter soil to emerge gently nodding.

Join Domnick Sorace and Bryan Hogan to learn about flowering bulbs and gain some advice on how to give the best care to your bulbs throughout their growing and dormant cycles.  During this workshop you will also create your own pot, with a variety of bulbs to take home and look forward to their Spring display.

All the necessary tools and materials will be provided. Appropriate footwear and clothing are recommended as this will be take place outdoors.
