Are you an IMMA Member? Join us for an exciting exploration of visual art in the Dublin 2 area. In our latest walking tour of Dublin we will explore the highlights of the National Gallery of Ireland, view the famous art collection at The Merrion Hotel and discuss an exhibition at The Douglas Hyde Gallery.
To begin this eclectic tour we will be given a guided tour of one of the current exhibitions, Shaping Ireland. This exhibition includes a work by artist Nick Miller whom we recently visited in his Sligo studio. Then we will visit the Merrion Hotel, home to a wonderful private collection of Irish and European 19th and 20th-century art, and we’ll complete the walking tour at he Douglas Hyde Gallery in Trinity College. We will be joined by Joe Scullion from the gallery to explore the current exhibition FREE THOUGHT FM by Irish artist Garrett Phelan.
