Christina Kennedy (Head of Collections, IMMA) and Nathan O’Donnell (Freud Research Fellow) examine how artists’ and writers’ creativity develops and changes in older age. This Bealtaine Talk explore ideas of ‘late style’ – discussed by Edward Said in the 1990s – and asks whether we can identify shared qualities across the work of artists in older age.
