In the context of the exhibition, Desire: A Revision from the 20th Century to the Digital Age, Irish artist Elaine Hoey introduces her latest project Imaginary State(s), 2019 commissioned by IMMA. Themes of borders, identities, masculinity and repressed desires will be explored within Hoey’s wider research and practice comprising virtual reality, video, interactive gaming and live performance.
This talk launches the first of Hoey’s live interactive performances that takes place in the IMMA galleries on the same day, numbers are limited for the gallery based performance.
