Through painting, sculpture and photography, Fergus Martin creates geometric forms that give shape to his preoccupation with space, colour, tension and materials, reflecting the world around him. Demonstrating the breath of Martin’s practice, this gallery-based discussion with curator Johanne Mullan, Collections, IMMA, explores a range of media from various stages of Martin’s career, focusing on several works featured in the exhibition IMMA Collection: Fergus Martin, Then and Now.
