Ireland has always been a hive of creativity in all its forms. For our IMMA MEMBERS, we wanted to bring some of the very best cultural experiences on IMMA’s doorstep inside the gallery walls and showcase our national creative community at its finest.
As an IMMA MEMBER, you get access to this calendar of quarterly exclusive events and money-can’t-buy experiences for you and a guest. All events are over 18s, with a complimentary drink on arrival.

Event #1 - Ní neart go cur le chéile: Today’s Creatives on what ‘Irishness’ means to them
Thursday, 21 March
2024 is already the year of the Irish Creative. From Cillian Murphy’s Oscar nomination to Simone Rocha’s takeover of Paris Fashion Week, it is safe to say that Ireland is still producing the very best of creative talent on the international stage.
But what does ‘Irishness’ really mean? And how does its past and present influence our expression of Irishness today?
Inspired by the largest exhibition at IMMA to date, Self-Determination: A Global Perspective, IMMA has brought together a panel of Irish creatives to answer these questions.
Exploring how their identities influence their work in the creative sector will be:
Robyn Lynch – Menswear designer
Briana Fitzsimons – Author, anti-racism advocate, educator and DEI specialist
Salvatore of Lucan – Visual artist
Amanda Adé – Creative director, public speaker, writer and activist
Our four panellists will be joined on stage by our wonderful host, Rosie Gogan-Keogh, co-owner of Hen’s Teeth and co-founder of Good Shout Studio.

This exclusive event is free for IMMA MEMBERS and has a ticket limit to two per member, one for you and a guest.
Due to capacity limitations in the Museum event spaces, tickets for this event are available on a first-come-first-served basis.
