Residency ProgrammeHow We Programme

IMMA's residency provides opportunities for national and international artists, curators, critical writers and art professionals to research and develop their practices onsite at the Museum.

How We Programme

Opportunities for Individuals and Collaborative Practices.

Open Call IMMA Residency

IMMA regularly holds international open calls for its residency programme. We are currently accepting expressions of interest for our new pilot residency programme Dwell Here, further information can be found here.

If you would like to be notified of forthcoming opportunities we recommend you subscribe to the residency section on IMMA’s mailing list here.

Hosting International Programmers

IMMA continues to bring international curators and visual arts researchers to Dublin for short stays focusing on studio visits with emerging and established artists based in Ireland.

IMMA Invited

The residency works closely with core museum programming to support invited research and production for IMMA projects.

Production Residencies

Production Residencies support selected national programming through the provision of essential space and time leading up to major exhibitions or research projects with organisations and programmes external to IMMA’s programming. This strand of programming offers affordable supports in light of the expense of hosting international creative practices for any significant periods of time in Ireland and helps to broaden the network, diversity, connectivity and neighbourhood of IMMA’s Residency.
