IMMA VENUESThe North Range

SEE EVENTS IN A DIFFERENT LIGHT

The North Range

We are excited to announce the reopening of the North Range, following its closure in 2018 for meticulous restoration. As one of Dublin’s most iconic landmarks, IMMA is a stunning example of 17th-century architecture. Led by expert conservation architects, the renovations have preserved the historical charm of the North Range while introducing modern elements, including contemporary lighting. This transformation has created an inspiring space, ready to host exceptional events.

The Great Hall

Once a dining and recreation space for soldiers, the 17th-century Great Hall has been transformed into a versatile venue. Perfect for banquets, conferences, fashion shows, concerts, award ceremonies, and large meetings, its high ceiling and stunning windows create an impressive setting. The Great Hall can accommodate up to 280 seated guests, depending on the chosen layout.

The Chapel

With a capacity of a hundred guests, the Baroque Chapel is the perfect venue for ceremonies, exhibitions and talks. Here is the room that simply takes your breath away. The striking craftsmanship of The Chapel features oak carvings, an ornate ceiling (made of paper mâché as it was too heavy when made of plaster) and Irish-made stained-glass windows.

The Johnston Suite

The Johnston Suite consists of four interconnected rooms (The Johnston, Drawing, Oak & State Room) that can be used individually or in combination, tailored to your needs. Located beside the Great Hall, they can be used as breakout rooms for conferences or for small dinners or lunches as well as a spacious area for cocktail receptions. These rooms were remodelled by the architect Francis Johnston in the 19th century with polished wooden floors and magnificent Waterford crystal chandeliers

The Johnston & Drawing Rooms

The Johnston Room, located next to the Great Hall, is an adaptable and inviting space ideal for hosting receptions or various occasions. Filled with natural light, this elegant room boasts a warm and welcoming ambience, highlighted by classic chandeliers, rich green walls, and large windows that frame views of the surrounding grounds.

The Drawing room with its warm colours and natural lights makes for a perfect introduction to a great event. Perfect for a meeting room or a lovely, intimate occasion.

The Oak & State Rooms

Entirely laminated in German Oak by architect William Robinson, the Oak Room is an exquisite choice for photoshoots, boardroom meetings, private receptions and registration areas.

The State Room an adjacent room to the Oak Room, of similar size with a wide view of both the meadows and the Formal Gardens, with its cosy atmosphere, has proven to be a great space for entertaining as a registration area.
