Q: What is the booking process for an event at IMMA?
Booking your event is simple: get in touch with our team through our Enquiry Form to discuss your requirements. We’ll guide you through the entire process.

Q: How long will a provisional booking be held without a deposit?
A provisional booking of space will be held for up to 14 days after which a deposit is required, if the booking is not secured at this time, it will be released without prior notice.

Q: How do I book a site visit?
We encourage all potential event clients to visit our site. Please contact our team at [email protected] and we will be more than happy to book a site visit.

Q: What types of events can be hosted at IMMA?
We accommodate a wide variety of events, including corporate meetings, conferences, weddings, workshops, private receptions, product launches, and social gatherings. If you have a specific event in mind, please feel free to contact us for more details and tailored suggestions.

Q: What if I can no longer go ahead with my event?
The IMMA grounds are a high-demand venue, and we often have multiple clients looking to book the same dates. While we understand that situations for clients can change, IMMA Venues operates under a no-refund policy. If you must cancel your event, as per your contract, no refund will be issued.

Accessibility

Q: Is the venue wheelchair accessible?
Yes, IMMA is committed to ensuring accessibility for all guests. Many of our spaces are wheelchair-friendly, and accessible restrooms are available. Our ground floor is wheelchair accessible from the courtyard, and there are elevators throughout our building to reach our second floor and Cellars. We also have a ramp on hand for stage access.

Q: Is the venue accessible to those with a hearing impairment?
Yes, there is a hearing loop system in The Great Hall, so that all our visitors can avail of this grand space we have to offer.

Q: Can I bring my service dog into the venue?
Service dogs may be admitted inside the North Range, Master’s Quarter’s, Cellars, and other internal IMMA venues.
Service dogs are also allowed in the Formal Gardens.

Capacity and Customisation

Q: How many guests can IMMA’s event spaces accommodate?
Our functional spaces can host anything from intimate gatherings of 10 people to larger events for up to 500 guests, depending on the room configuration and your requirements. To view the capacity of each room and find the best fit for your event, please see our Our Venues page.

Q: Are the event spaces customisable?
Absolutely. Our rooms are fully adaptable to meet your event needs, whether you require a boardroom setup, theatre-style seating, a reception arrangement, or something unique.

Q: At what time must the guests be off the premises?
This depends on the type of event, and guest requirements. For more information, contact us at [email protected]

Q: Can the different rooms in the North Range be hired out individually?
We have a policy of only hosting one event at any one time, therefore any client booking the IMMA Venues reserves the entire North Range. We do not hire out the different rooms individually.

Q: Can signage or other objects be attached to the interior or exterior walls of the building?
All signage must be free-standing and nothing must be attached to the interior or exterior walls of the building.

Q: Is there a Ceremony only rate?
When you book a wedding with IMMA Venues, you are given access to the entire North Range. As we do not rent out individual spaces in The North Range, we do not offer a ceremony-only rate for the Chapel.

Services and Amenities

Q: What time do your gates open at?
East gate:
• Weekdays: 8:00am – 7:00pm
• Sundays: 10:00am – 7:00pm

West gate:
• Weekdays: 8:30am – 7:00pm
• Sundays: 10:00am – 7:00pm

Q: How late can my wedding run?
The following times apply for IMMA weddings:
• Last Orders: 1:15am
• Last Song: 1:30am
• Guests departed by: 2:00am

Q: Does IMMA provide catering services?
We collaborate with trusted catering partners to offer a wide range of options, from light refreshments to multi-course meals. Let us know your preferences, and we’ll assist in coordinating the perfect catering for your event.

Q: Is audio-visual equipment available for events?
While we don’t provide in-house audio-visual equipment, we can recommend trusted suppliers who will ensure your event’s technical needs are met.

Q: Do you have Wi-Fi?
Yes, we offer complimentary high speed Wi-Fi, with an upload and download speed of over 400 Mbps, capable of supporting up to 500 guests at a time, across all our event spaces. For access details, please speak to one of our team members.
There is also a wired connection to the internet in The Chapel and The Great Hall.

Q: Do you have printing services on site?
Yes. If you need a small number of documents to be printed or photocopied for your event, simply inform your point of contact in advance of your event, and they can print whatever you need.

Q: Will there be support from the IMMA Venues team on the event day?
Yes, a dedicated member of our team will be available throughout the planning process and on the event day to ensure everything runs smoothly.

Q: What hotel would clients regularly use?
Clients of IMMA frequently use the 4-star Hilton Hotel, only 7 min walk away. IMMA is proud to be able to offer a special rate for clients. Please contact our team at [email protected] and we will be more than happy to assist you.

Q: Is there a defibrillator on site?
Yes. We have a defibrillator with our security, and in The North Range.

Q: What are the IMMA procedures regarding insurance?
Each client must have their own public liability insurance in place up to an indemnity limit of 6.5 million euros, and employer’s liability insurance up to a limit of €13 million. Documentation of such must be given to the Events Team two weeks before your event. If you don’t have indemnity up to the required level, you can choose to come under our policy at a special rate of 300.00 euros per day.

Q: What is included in the Venue Hire rate?
When you hire an IMMA Venue, the following is included:
• Exclusive hire of the Venue of your choice (The North Range, The Master’s Quarters, The Cellars).
• An appointed IMMA Venues Manager from site visit through to conclusion of your event.
• Event-specific cleaning personnel.
• Complimentary access to the award-winning Irish Museum of Modern Art during the day and after hours, at a nominal cost.
• The option of partaking in bespoke workshops within the Irish Museum of Modern Art, tailored your specific requirements.
• Furniture e.g., trestle tables, circular tables, pod tables, chairs, coat rails, stage, stage ramp.
• Complimentary High speed WIFI.
• Printing and photocopying capacity.
• Wheelchair access and accessible toilets.
• Large ample car parking for cars and coaches.
• A view overlooking the picturesque formal gardens and the historic IMMA courtyard.

Miscellaneous

Q: Can I bring my own decorations or equipment for the event?
Yes, you are welcome to personalise the space with decorations or equipment. However, certain restrictions may apply to protect the venue. Please discuss your plans with our events personnel in advance.

Q: Can I bring my dog into the venue?
Only service dogs may be admitted inside the North Range, Master’s Quarter’s, Cellars, and other internal IMMA venues.
Dogs, other than service dogs, are also not allowed in the Formal Gardens.

Q: Can I have fireworks and confetti?
No, fireworks and confetti are not permitted at any of our spaces.

Q: Can I use candles?
No, open flames are strictly prohibited in the venues.

Parking

Q: Is parking available on-site?

Q: Can I charge my car?
Yes, we have several EV charging ports in our carpark, subject to availability. Follow signs for the car park.

Q: Can we park a coach at IMMA?
Yes, there is parking for coaches, subject to availability and parking measures.

Q: Do you have bicycle parking?
Yes, if you are cycling to IMMA you will find bicycle parking at the rear of the building, just before the entrance to the car park. Follow signs for the car park.
