The IMMA Residency Programme is housed and mentored onsite at the Museum, presenting a symbiotic relationship with programming, the site, and activities.
Onsite residencies support the development of contemporary visual art practices, research and dialogue. The programme supports both emerging and established practitioners, working in a variety of formats, and is curated through open and invited strands of programming.
IMMA’s Collection, Exhibitions and Engagement & Learning Programmes, fellow residents, the historical location at The Royal Hospital Kilmainham and IMMA’s proximity to the vibrant cultural city of Dublin, all provide a dynamic starting point for residents to explore studio practices and new avenues of visual arts research.
