Plan Your Visit

Make the most of your concert experience at IMMA. Find everything you need to know before you arrive, from transport and parking to venue access and concert-day information.

Things to Know

Bags & Prohibited Items

  • Please avoid bringing large bags or backpacks. Bags larger than A4 size may be refused, and there are no storage facilities available on site.
  • Camping chairs, folding chairs, glass bottles, cans, alcohol, selfie sticks, professional cameras, audio recording equipment, flares, flag poles, and large signs or flags are not permitted.
  • For the full list of prohibited items, please refer to your ticket provider or event organiser before attending.

Before You Arrive

  • Please do not queue before the gates open. Anyone arriving early may be asked to leave the area until entry begins. Early queuing can cause disruption to our neighbours, so we ask all visitors to respect the local community.
  • Allow plenty of time to travel to the venue, pass through security, and be inside the concert site at least 30 minutes before the performance begins.
  • All concerts take place outdoors on grass and are standing only. Please dress appropriately for the Irish weather. Comfortable footwear, layers, waterproof clothing or ponchos, and sunscreen are recommended. Umbrellas are not permitted.

During the Event

  • Please follow all instructions from event stewards, security staff, Gardaí, and announcements made over the public address system.
  • The promoter reserves the right to refuse admission or remove any person who does not comply with the event terms and conditions.

Leaving the Venue

  • Please leave the venue safely and follow the directions of event staff. We recommend taking your time when exiting after the concert.
  • IMMA is located within a residential area. We kindly ask all concertgoers to respect our neighbours by disposing of litter responsibly, avoiding anti-social behaviour, and parking only in designated areas.

Traffic Management

To help ensure the safe arrival and departure of concertgoers, temporary traffic management measures will be in place on concert days.

  • Military Road will be closed to inbound traffic from early afternoon until after the event. Traffic exiting HSQ onto Military Road will be directed left towards St John’s Road West.
  • Access to HSQ will remain available via the St John’s Road West entrance.
  • Bow Lane West (at the junction with James’s Street) will be closed to through traffic. Access will be maintained for local residents and authorised vehicles only.
  • Kilmainham Lane will operate as one-way outbound traffic only.
  • Road closures and traffic restrictions will be managed with barriers, signage and Gardaí.
  • Additional temporary traffic restrictions may also be implemented on St John’s Road West and South Circular Road as crowds leave the venue.

Please allow extra travel time and follow all signage and directions from event stewards and Gardaí.

If you require further information about traffic management on concert days, please contact Kilmainham Garda Station on (01) 666 9700.
