Sibyl Montague's (B. Cork, Ireland) varied practice combines textile, digital, vegetable, and ‘poor’ material sources with the hacking and disassembly of commodity goods and media. Working across mediums, including sculpture, video and installation, her practice has at its heart an expression of fite fuaite - the concept of interconnectedness, belonging and the association between personhood, craft and materiality. She recently exhibited at Temple Bar Gallery and Studios, Dublin; VISUAL, Carlow; New Spaces, Derry; Pallas Projects, Dublin, Cité Internationale des Arts, Paris.
