British artist Stuart Brisley studied at Guildford School of Art, the Royal College of Art, the Akademie der Bildende Künste, Munich, and Florida State University. Gaining recognition for his performance work from the 1960s, he also uses paint, sculpture, installation and film to examine social issues and critique the art establishment. Brisley is represented in collections including Tate, London; the Musee D’Art Moderne de la Ville de Paris and Kiasma Museum of Contemporary Art, Helsinki.
