Irish artist Seamus O’Colmain attended the National College of Art and Design, Dublin, before going to study in Paris. He began exhibiting in the late 1950s and participated in numerous Royal Hibernian Academy Annual Exhibitions, Oireachtas exhibitions and the Irish Exhibition of Living Art. He also served as vice-president of the United Arts Club. O’Colmain’s work is held in the collections of the Arts Council of Ireland; Queen’s University, Belfast; and Waterford Municipal Art Gallery.
