Ronan McCrea attended the National College of Art and Design and the University of Ulster, Belfast. He has exhibited extensively in Ireland and internationally, including solo exhibitions in the Galway Arts Centre, Project Arts Centre, Dublin, and Glassbox, Paris. McCrea represented Ireland at the Venice Biennale in 2005. He has also worked as a guest curator at The Return, Goethe Institute, Dublin in 2003. He currently lectures in photography at Limerick School of Art & Design.
