French artist Pierre Huyghe attended the Ecole Nationale Supérieure des Arts Graphiques et Décoratifs. He works in a range of media including film, installation and public intervention, and explores ideas of ritual and tradition in contemporary society and man’s relationship with nature. Huyghe has exhibited widely since the 1990s, including solo exhibitions at the Museo Nacional Centro de Arte Reina Sofía, Madrid; Tate Modern, London; the Guggenheim Museum, New York; and the Neue Nationalgalerie, Berlin. His film ‘Streamside Day’ was shown at IMMA in 2005.
