Northern Irish artist Micky Donnelly studied art at the University of Ulster, Belfast. Working in sculpture, painting, drawing, photography and installation, Donnelly explored themes of nature and culture, and the varied psychological and political models we adopt in order to see the world. Donnelly was a founding member of ‘Circa’ magazine in 1981. He has exhibited internationally and his work is in many public and private collections. He was elected as a member of Aosdána in 1996.
