Irish artist and filmmaker Mary Kelly studied at University College Dublin, Dun Laoghaire College of Art and Design and the National College of Art and Design, Dublin. Within her art practice Kelly considers ideas of home and place, and the instinctive human drive to create a personal space within diverse environments. She has exhibited extensively in Ireland and Europe since the late 1990s. She received the American Arts Award in 2006 and the Artlinks Award in 2007.
