Manuela Höfer has been working with photographic practices and processes for over forty years. Following her training as a photographic laboratory technician and photographer, she studied photography at the Film, Television and Photography Academy (FAMU) in Prague. Throughout her career, she has maintained a particular interest in analogue photography and the photogram.
Over the course of her professional life, she has organised exhibitions and photography fairs in London and Berlin, as well as establishing her own photography gallery in London. During extended periods of work in Prague, London, Bavaria and Thuringia, she developed site-specific projects and exhibition concepts. Her work is held in numerous collections, has been presented in solo and group exhibitions across Europe, and has been featured in specialist literature.
Her photographic practice reflects an intimate engagement with her surroundings and a profound fascination with the natural world.
