British painter, art historian and curator John Golding was born in England and raised in Mexico. He studied Art and Classical Archaeology at the University of Toronto and in Art History at the Courtauld Institute, London. Golding was an international specialist on Cubism and was widely published on the subject. He was senior curator for two ground-breaking Picasso exhibitions at Tate Modern in 1994 and 2002. He also taught at the Courtauld Institute and the Royal College of Art.
