English artist John Davies studied painting at Hull and Manchester College of Art and the Slade School of Fine Art, London. He was awarded a sculpture fellowship at Gloucester College of Art in 1989. His maquettes, sculptures and drawings of the human figure have been shown at Tate, London; Documenta, Kassel; the Paris Biennale and Sidney Biennale. His work is represented in the collections the British Council; the Arts Council of England and Tate, London.
