Inger Lise Hansen was born in 1963, Trondheim, Norway. She studied Fine Art at North East London Polytechnic, Central Saint Martin’s College of Art & Design, and received Master of Fine Art Film from San Francisco Art Institute. Working primarily with film and video, she has developed a distinctive practice rooted in experimental animation. Her films have been screened at international festivals including Hiroshima International Animation Festival and Rotterdam International Film Festival; museums, and galleries, earning recognition including the Gold Prize for Animation at the Bilbao International Festival of Documentary and Short Films and Chris Frayne Award for Best Animation at Ann Arbor International Film Festival.
