Painter and sculptor Gordon Woods (born 1938) was born in Antrim, Northern Ireland. In 1976 he won the Major Prize at the Oireachtas Exhibition. Woods is a member of the Northern Ireland Civic Forum and is a previous Director of Art and Education at the University of Ulster.
