Italian artist and writer Enrico Baj attended Milan University and the Accademia di Brera. In his figurative paintings, collages, and outspoken writings, Baj challenged artistic and political orthodoxies. He co-founded a number of movements and groups including the arte nucleare movement in 1951, the International Movement for the Imagist Bauhaus in 1953 and the Pataphysic Institute of Milan in 1963. Baj’s publications include Automitobiogafia (1983) and Kiss Me, I'm Italian (1997).
