Irish artist Billy Quinn (born 1954) studied at the National College of Art and Design. He relocated to London in 1974, and moved to New York in the 1990s. Quinn’s practice combines photography, painting, installation and performance, and deals with issues including AIDS and his Roman Catholic upbringing. Quinn returned to Ireland to take part in IMMA’s Artist’s Residency Programme in 1995. He has since exhibited and taught in Ireland, the UK and the United States.
