English artist Bill Woodrow attended St Martin’s School of Art and Chelsea School of Art, London. In the early 1980s, Woodrow began making sculptural works from found objects and domestic appliances. Also working with glass, wax, steel and cast bronze, his sculptures make reference to issues of environmental pollution, economic policy and consumerism. Woodrow represented Britain at the 1982 Sydney Biennale, the Paris Biennale in 1982 and 1985, and the Sâo Paulo Biennial in 1983 and 1991.
