Ann Griffin Bernstorff studied at the National College of Art and Design, Dublin. She won the Taylor Art Scholarship in 1962 and moved to Paris to study at the Atelier Yves Brayer and Ecole dex Beaux Arts. On her return to Ireland she trained and worked as a picture restorer. Griffin Bernstorff has exhibited worldwide and her work is held in private and public collections including the Office of Public Works; National Self Portrait Collection and the University of Limerick.
