Yoga is a low-impact activity that is easy on the joints, making it an ideal exercise regime for older adults looking for a safe and effective way to enhance physical and mental wellbeing. Through its emphasis on mindfulness, yoga can also be very helpful in reducing stress, alleviating anxiety, and better sleep. So whether you are 65 or 105, lay down your mat and get started with your yoga practice today!
Yoga for Over 65 classes will be taught by Orla Punch and held outdoors in the Front Lawn Pavilion next to IMMA. Orla is a senior Iyengar Yoga instructor and has been teaching yoga for over 25 years. Orla has specialised in adapting the practice to suit students with limited mobility; who have injuries; or may be recovering from illnesses and other conditions.
