Since the 1980s, Vancouver-based Rodney Graham is recognized for his diverse practice of photography, painting, sculpture, film, video and music. Artists Rodney Graham and Gerard Byrne discuss the sculptural, cinematic, performative and humorist nature of Graham’s practice, drawing attention to the multiple references layered within his work, that enable Graham to seamlessly shift into different roles, characters and contexts.
This talk is programmed with Dublin Gallery Weekend on the occasion of the opening weekend of the exhibition Rodney Graham, That’s Not Me, 24 November 2017 – 18 February 2018 presented in IMMA’s Main Galleries.
