Process Room, 02.11.04- 14.11.04

Throughout my work I find myself returning to similar themes: belonging, disconnection, a sense of home, displacement, longing and loss.  This work that I have been making since I started the residency in early September deals with some of these themes.  This time I have approached things quite literally by making small houses.
At times these houses become symbols for something lost, something that isn’t there anymore but that we still long for.
I also feel that a space no longer occupied still resonates with memories and traces of its previous occupants.
