This summer we are opening the grounds of IMMA and the RHK on Wednesday evenings until 8.30pm. On Wednesday 28 July join a Therapy of Sound Workshop with Liam Oragh in the Meadows Pavilion. The workshop is a Sound Bath, this a powerful sonic meditation that enables deep relaxation and emotional release through immersion in the vibrations of gongs, singing bowls, rattles, drums, chimes, pipes and other traditional and sacred instruments.
With Liam you are in the hands of an experienced sound healer, retreat leader and meditation guide who will transport you to the heart of a vibrant soundscape where body, mind and soul can relax, rejoice and heal – with the added magic of all of the healing sounds mixing with the healing sounds of nature in this special outdoor setting.
A Sound Bath involves a trained musician using several instruments to create soothing, overlapping vibrations while people are lying in a reclining position. The instruments used – gongs, crystal bowls and tibetan singing bowls – make deep, resonating sounds resulting in a meditative and immersive experience. It is a practice that is accessible to everyone as it doesn’t require any prior experience, all you need to do is listen and relax!. There is no electronic amplification.
Booking required via the ticket link. Our cafe The Flying Dog will remain open until 8pm.
Liam Oragh is a graduate of the Celtic School of Sound Healing (he holds an advanced diploma in Sound Therapy) and also trained as a musician at the Bel Canto School of Singing.
