This exhibition of new large-scale photoworks from Eastern Europe by London-born artist Hannah Collins, included four works produced especially for the show.
The artist considers her photographs to be both ‘sculptural and pictorial’. In the past she has mounted the images onto a variety of supports, including linen or cotton draped or hung like banners, and constructed metal panels arranged as free-standing installations. Her preoccupation with space is evident in her continued interest in environmental, social and political spaces, particularly at the margins or borders of society.
