Now in its third year, EARTH RISING has proven to be a transformative and impactful experience for participants and audiences alike, laying a foundation for continued engagement and positive change. Last year we welcomed over 16,000 people to IMMA for EARTH RISING and we hope to grow that this year.

We are delighted to once again invite applications from interested artists, collectives and community groups through our Open Call.

Art has always played a powerful role in reflecting and shaping society. In a rapidly changing world, here at IMMA, we understand our role as a space for dialogue and understanding, promoting social progress and cultural innovation in response to contemporary challenges. The climate crisis represents one of the greatest challenges of our time, requiring collective efforts to mitigate its impacts and ensure a sustainable future for generations to come.

By engaging audiences in creative and thought-provoking ways, IMMA can foster a sense of urgency around the need for environmental stewardship and to connect communities in an increasingly divided world.

Open Call submissions will be accepted by email to [email protected] by 5pm on Friday, 12 April 2024.

We will be hosting a Zoom clinic for any questions you may have about the application on Friday, 22 March 2024. To register please email [email protected]
