Are you living with dementia or do you know someone who is? Why not come along to IMMA and experience our next dementia-inclusive Azure tour. These tours are tailored towards people living with dementia and their families and friends and are facilitated by IMMA staff members who are trained in providing art tours for people with dementia.
The next tour takes place on Friday 6 December at 11.00am, when you can join Bairbre-Ann Harkin (IMMA’s Art & Ageing Fellow) and explore selected work from the exhibition Desire: A Revision from the 20th Century to the Digital Age.
We will meet at IMMA’s main reception. After the tour, we finish with an optional complimentary tea or coffee and a chat in IMMA’s Kemp Sisters Café.
Guests are also more than welcome to come along to the tour as a ‘drop-in’ attendees – just meet us at the time/date mentioned above.
We also offer free, book-able AZURE tours to dementia care facilities or dementia support organisations who wish to bring groups to visit IMMA. A tour can be specially arranged by contacting Margaret via email [email protected] or call 01 612 9955.
Chairs will be supplied throughout the galleries, and there are lifts and access for wheelchairs in both buildings. IMMA can provide manual wheelchairs if pre-booked. Please contact Caroline via email [email protected] or phone 01-612 9955 in advance of visiting if you have particular requirements regarding access.
