Rita Duffy’s Watchtower 2 reimagines the surveillance architecture of the Northern Ireland borderlands within a post-conflict, ecological frame. Once symbols of control and division, watchtowers are here reframed as remnants within a changing landscape. Duffy’s work considers how these structures persist in collective memory while nature gradually reclaims them.
