Indian born sculptor Anish Kapoor studied at Hornsey College of Art and the Chelsea School of Art and Design, London. He works with materials including limestone, granite, marble and pure pigment. More recently, light and reflection have become increasingly important in his practice. Kapoor represented Britain at the Venice Biennale in 1990. He was awarded the Turner Prize in 2002 and the same year received the Unilever Commission for the Turbine Hall at Tate Modern. Kapoor has constructed significant public sculptures worldwide.
