shown here above is an installation shot including Brian Kings “Squaring”, it hangs high on the wall in a grouping of works which are part of “Fragments between Modernisms / Fragments and Objects”, a section within IMMA’s exhibition Fragments which was curated in collaboration with artist Alan Phelan. Novoa’s moulded canvas can be seen hanging high on the wall in the foreground.

    Leopoldo Novoa, 1919–2012

    Spanish painter and sculptor Leopoldo Novoa lived in the United States, Uruguay and Buenos Aires before moving to Paris in 1961. His work is held in public and private collections worldwide, including MOMA, New York; Fonds National d'Art Contemporain and Bibliothèque Nationale de France.
